About The Similasan Eye Drops Class Actions Lawsuit

If you purchased Similasan homeopathic eye drops in the last few years, you may be eligible for a cash payment. A class action lawsuit claimed that Similasan Corporation deceptively marketed its eye care products by implying they were FDA-approved and clinically effective, despite those claims allegedly being untrue. While the company denies any wrongdoing, it has agreed to a $3.58 million settlement to resolve the case. Read more to see if you may be eligible for compensation.

The lawsuit alleges that Similasan Corporation misled consumers by advertising its homeopathic eye drops as effective and safe, without FDA approval or scientific backing. These products were sold across the U.S. in drugstores, grocery chains, and online retailers.

Plaintiffs claim that Similasan failed to disclose important information, giving customers the false impression that the eye drops were medically proven to relieve symptoms like dryness, redness, or irritation. They further alleged that the products were misleadingly advertised as sterile and failed to warn consumers of the risks of silver sulfate, an ingredient connected to poor night vision and irreversible eye and skin discoloration.

Similasan denies these allegations, but has agreed to a multimillion-dollar settlement to avoid continued legal proceedings.

What Are Similasan Eye Drops?

Similasan’s eye care products are labeled as homeopathic remedies. These drops are marketed as gentle, natural treatments for a variety of eye issues, including:

  • Dry eye relief
  • Allergy eye relief
  • Redness & itchy eye relief
  • Computer eye relief

Sold between September 11, 2017, and February 20, 2025, these products are now at the center of a nationwide settlement.
