The class action lawsuit is being led by a group of plaintiffs who represent consumers who have purchased Clif Bars under the belief that they were healthier snack options. The defendant in the case is Clif Bar & Company, a subsidiary of Mondelez International, a leading corporation in the snack and confectionery industry.
Clif Bar & Company hasn’t admitted wrongdoing but has agreed to pay $12 million to resolve the false advertising class action lawsuit.

Which Products are Included in the Settlement?
Eligible products include the Original Clif Bars which bore the phrase “Nutrition for Sustained Energy,” and Clif Kid ZBars, which had these claims on their packaging:

Who Qualifies and How Much Can Your Claim?
Consumers who purchased Clif Bar products with misleading nutrition claims may benefit from the $12 million settlement.
Anyone who purchased a Clif snack bar between March 31, 2019, and March 31, 2023, may be eligible for a settlement. California and New York residents have an expanded window of eligibility from April 19, 2014, to March 31, 2023.
Under the terms of the Clif Bar settlement, class members can receive $5 for up to 30 bars, $10 for between 31 and 59 bars, and $15 for more than 60 bars. These payouts are available regardless of whether consumers can provide proof of purchase.
Class members who do provide proof of purchase can receive $15 for the first 60 bars. For additional bars with proof of purchase, class members can receive $0.25 per bar for a maximum total payment of $50.
