Beyond Meat was accused of overstating the protein content and ingredient quality of its plant-based products. Consumers who purchased the products in stores like Walmart, Target, and Whole Foods felt misled by the company’s alleged false advertising. They filed lawsuits claiming Beyond Meat’s dishonest marketing ploys tricked them into paying more for the meat substitutes.

You may qualify for part of the $7.5 million settlement if you purchased an applicable Beyond Meat product for household consumption in the United States between May 31, 2018, and August 14, 2024. You can’t have purchased the product for distribution or resale.

The deadline to submit a claim is April 14, 2025. You do not need to submit proof to file a claim, but it is recommended if you have it. Without proof, you are limited to claiming 5 product purchases per household; if you provide proof of purchase, this limitation does not apply.

You are eligible for a one-time, $2 cash payment for each qualifying Beyond Meat product you purchased within the class timeframe. Without proof of purchase, you can claim up to 5 product purchases per household for a maximum amount of $10. If you provide proof of purchase, you can claim an unlimited number of purchases.
